High Banks

Got to lake around 2 pm, perch hammering, some keepers.  Perch shut down at dark.  Sitting on a hump at 21'.  First rattle reels around 830 and a miss.  Caught a 17.5 followed by a 23.5.  Had a big one up to hole and missed.  Caught a white fish.  Next day during warm-up, good fishing anticipated, but not one rattle.  Only a 25" pike.  High banks steep landing but non-issue with castle.  Castle did well. 

BC 930 AM - 830pm.

No fish until around 330.  4 nice crappies (11+) from 330-810.  Missed a couple.  Maiden voyage for castle.  Fished on the west pin.  Guy told me there were cribs in that spot.  Pressure 30+.  Temp-10.

1st ice (for us)

Dinked around with Shane on Hill in front of cabin.  Missed three flags unfortunately.  Got on the ice at 10 or so.  Jadon joined and 12.  Shane went back to Grandma's after eating all our food.  Jadon and I expanded search to deeper water.  Caught unlimited small perch in 17 feet.  Moved out to 48' max depth area in front of cabin.  Found crappies in 42 feet.  Slow bite ended up with four and had to leave when the bite was probably prime.
