:) Boys kicked off with a double header last night. Mason hit a grand slam, Eric a homer after that.. and after that I lost track. Good fun. I hear there may be a cousin match-up game?
Unfortunately HC's LL enrollment has gone from dozens in recent years, to less than a dozen this year. Only has enough boys this year for one team covering the whole 9-12 LL span. Unfortunate for the (so far) very small sized boys we've played... games have been pretty much one-way blow-outs. but also too bad for the few boys we have who should be on a major league team this year with 11's & 12's their age. While they've gotten to smack some homeruns & a grand slam, they're not getting real great ball play. Also can't pitch them against the younger kids, so they're missing out on that experience, they both pitch pretty well. We have 3 kids (ours & another 12) who may be invited to join a GR majors team for wooden bat tourney, would be good action for them if they do.

A friend of mine in a uniform I grew up despising... I'll break the stigma and learn to love Deer River. Looking sharp.
