The Art of a Smashing Foot and a Destroying Punch
Can't really abduct the hips nowadays. Jadon and I agreed that we would work on our flexibility by practicing Karate. Jadon was inspired by a Crane Kick a la Danielson and the thought that he may be able to drop me in living room death match. We went to class and found sparring partners to be all 80 lbs or less. I opted out. Jadon opted in. Jadon takes Tae Kwan Do lessons twice a week with a class of about 15. His instructor shows tough love saying if they ever use Tae Kwan Do to "bully" they will be kicked out and "never" welcome to return. One student even asked, "Could we come back next year?" The instructor replied with an resounding, "No, never!" I was happy to see there was no enabling going on. Tae Kwan Do offers some great teachings of self-discipline and self-defense. With alot of hardwork and perserverance, Jadon hopes to one day acquire his tangerine belt...or was it fuscia?

huhu..it's so cute..(^_^)
Good post. I have thought now and then about exploring some form of martial arts. Mainly for flexibility and strength. Seems like a great father & son undertaking.
The kid looks really happy and excited in those pics.
