Jadon has been busy with Tiger Cubs all year. A couple of months ago he had a snow sled derby which required him to make a custom sled. He chose spikes and a deer tail. Everyone got an award for participating. On April 11th he has his first pine wood derby. Pictured is the practice car that he built.

It's a throwback for me man... wow. I remember Cub Scouts, and I remember well that Pinewood Derby. My car raced, the building was hot, packed, sweaty and intense... I was nervous... afterward I vomited, I think because we had eaten cheap dog food at Hardee's prior to the competition. My car was a 2x4 cut in half along the diagonal. The beauty of functionality without frills was the only claim I could attach to to it.

The third picture down must be what you were talking about, Joe, with regard to the goofy camera-grin. I like it, though. Makes him look like a little rapscallion. I can't wait to meet him. I'm mystified by this kid and the tales I've heard.
