Late
Trip to the river Thursday May 14...no line cast as my ignition switch was faulty. Had to take flywheel cover off and pull start. Talked with guy who fishes alot and he said all he uses is cranks. Levels seemed ideal..very bummed we could not fish though reports were no walleye from passing boats.
May 15: Phil's childhood lake produced 3 eyes in the 14-16" range. Off the point on the spot. 13' of water.
May 23: Seis mille: 6 little walleyes on NW side of lake. Some reports of bigger fish, but none for us.
May 23rd evening: Fish Phil's childhood lake. Phil was one the point with his dad James. They did better than us. We caught one @ 15.5". They probably got 6 eyes, 3 of which were over 22". 14' of water. Being on the point seemed critical.
May 25th: Went to Ron and Paula's lake. Reports of the day before included fast and furious bite on break at 13' right out in front of Ron's place. We got there at 400 pm the next day, struggled with wife and kids, but Julianne caught her first walleye. Then we got rained out.
May 27th: My home town lake on North end. Lilacs in full bloom. Crappies sitting on beds, some sitting near dropped kinda like they're staging up. John Watkins and I caught 20 in the 9-11" range.

Succer spearing was kind of a bust. Went three times too early and one time too late. Speared a few on the Deer at our property.

Fishing on Lil W. Guy sitting on good spot crushed. We picked up a few pike and a 22.5".
Josie caught this 19.5" on a crappie rod on our home town duck lake where the little river meets the big river.

2019 Winter and 2020 Spring
Pheasant hunting with the McNeils when Jadon was home over Christmas break. Had an awesome day with Suzie the spring spaniel.
Another basketball photo I found. Girls placed second or first in their last 4 tournaments.
Spring beaver produced four beaver and a couple incidental rats.
UPS man came with goodies for both the kids. The peeps came as a response to Josie's letter of concern re the misplacement of the Peep's eyes.
Boat all cherried up for first ride of 2020. New equipment including on-board charger and motorguide wireless.
Winter 2019 Photos
Very cold day during the parade. Jadon carried the Florida flag.
San Antonio Trip was awesome. Watching Jadon do so well out on his own made us all very proud.
Josie had an awesome season. Her passion and intensity grew every game. She became a lock-down defender. It was a very fun season with a great group of kids. They improved significantly from the beginning to the end.
Shane's 10" perch. Very fun day including crappies, a bunch of gills and a bass.

Catching up
Have gotten out and done some duck hunting. Have shot birds each time but never really got into them...party due to bad shooting. Need to shoot more clays I guess. The boat has been awesome. Kids have not gone with, but would like to get them out on some afternoon hunts. Probably too late now. Has been really rainy. Grouse hunted a few time and seen 1 bird. I have discovered some new territory however. Got a pair of nice woodies when grouse hunting. Sunny had a great retrieve on them. Kids got to see a cormorant up close.
At the Blueberry Hill GP
Our new rabbit Shadow! Jumpy little bugger.
Hunt with the McNeils.
A memorable pair.
A memorable shot on this goose as it decoyed in perfectly. The green wing showed up before first light and hung around. I missed a pretty easy shot on 3 ringers. I had 4 buffleheads fly over when I was picking up decoys.
Kids really enjoying the taste of goose and they way mom prepares it.
